The last few days I've spent way too much time surfing other ladies blogs for creative inspiration. I really envy those of you out there that are able to spend your days crafting. Since I work full-time, I have to figure how to fit it in with an already busy life. I commit to publishing my creations as much as I can. Since I started this blog as a place to sell crafts I have, I thought I could also share my creations so others can have some inspiration.
Last Friday I went to the wonderful, A muse Stamps (www.amuseartstamps.com) in the Greenwood area of North Seattle. There I found beautiful stamps that I really wasn't familiar with until my blog surfing of late. They have really adorable stamps and embellishments. I felt pretty fortunate to get away with only a $55 tab. I did end up getting 4 stamps for $4 bucks though! They have a weekly 'blue light special' where each stamp is $2 each. I bought both, plus they had a free basket when you spent $25. I lucked out and got two free ones. So even though I spent a few dimes, I feel I came out ahead. I can't wait to work with them.
Right now I'm working on a full-card swap with 11 other ladies. The themes are birthday and baby or wedding. Everyone will make a b-day card and either a baby or wedding card. I'm going with the baby theme, but instead of a traditional baby card, I'm doing a 'happy pregnancy' card for expectant mothers with the Stampin UP set 'Swell News'. I just love this set and haven't used it yet. When she's all done I'll post here. For the birthday card I'm doing a masculine card. When we did the birthday swap before, no one had very masculine colors, so I'm trying to go outside my comfort zone. This is definitely a challenge! It's good for me though because I really like to make my honey cards.
